Baby Porter

Almost 2 weeks ago my sweet nephew was born. This was such a special day for our family, and we are so happy for Enoch and Nicole. FINALLY Sienna has a cousin on my side of the family!! This picture bellow melts my heart every time I see it. Whitney and I went up to the hospital about a hour after Porter was born, and when we got there Enoch and the baby were in the nursery. I walked out into the hall to see my brother pushing this tiny bundle, Enoch had tears in his eyes and the glow of a proud daddy!

What a AMAZING day I feel so blessed to of been a part of it. There is nothing like holding a perfect baby sent from heaven. We love you baby Porter!

Can you believe this woman just had a baby!! Seriously I hope and wish for a 2nd pregnancy and delivery like Nicoles!
Baby Porter was blessed with Enochs LONG toes and the dreaded hammer head!! ha ha

Casey's TROPHY!!

Ok so I know for most people this picture might be a little disturbing, but since this is our family blog I figured I needed to post it since Casey has not stopped smiling since!! Casey has been EXTRA busy this year with school and work. Lately it seems like we barley see him, and if we do we consider ourselves extra lucky! On a normal week Casey works between 60-70 hours and then goes to school full time, and if any time is left over we can find him in his office studying! So I know this was a rare treat for him being able to do something he really loves. While laying in bed the night before he was telling me how he only had 3 days left before his tag expired, and there was no way he was leaving that mountain without a deer even if it was a spike!! So when he sent me this picture at 7:30 a.m. I was so EXCITED that he got what he wanted, I know that doesn't happen a lot. (And since he never reads my blog I think I am safe to admit that) This last year my appreciation and love for this man has grown more than I ever knew possible. We have learned to pull together when things get hard, and that together there is no obstacle we can't overcome! Right now we want more than anything to have another baby. With how easy it was to get pregnant the first time around we were thinking baby #2 would be a piece of cake...WRONG!! One year later we are starting fertility testing and all the emotional baggage that comes a long with wanting something you can't have. If I have learned one thing in the last year it is to trust in the Lord and know that things will work out when they should. This is a really hard thing for me considering I like to have control of most things in my life! ANYWAYS.... I am really proud of him not only for the deer, but for his commitment to his family. Sienna and I are two LUCKY girls!!!

Halloween week

We had quite the Halloween week! Sienna got to dress up 3 days in a row and was in heaven. People would say "sienna you look so cute" and she would promptly correct them by saying "I am not Sienna I am Sleeping Beauty!" After last years Halloween I wasn't quite sure what to expect (remember last year she wouldn't even put her costume on) but this year was a success!
at our school Halloween Party

Trick-or-treating
Love this sister of mine, although I sure wish I had those big eyes and extra long eyelashes!

Finally a family picture! We don't see Casey nearly enough these days, but sure love when we do!
Love them! (dang you red eye)
If you look closely you can see casey broke his nose for the second time in his life! And refuses to get it fixed, oh well!

mommys special tea pot

ohhh how I love this little girl! I think I blinked and she grew up overnight. She is a very sassy and energetic little girl, she knows what she wants and she will do just about anything to get it. Every day I hear these words "mommy's special tea pot please." Meaning it's time to have a tea party in the hall! This was my tea set when I was little, and it sits on a shelf in her room. At first I was a little hesitant to let her use it since it is glass, but after I told her it was "mommy's special tea pot" she is so carful and looks forward to tea time!!

not so magical disneyland.....

when i pictured our trip to disneyland i was picturing sienna so EXCITED that she could hardly sit in her stroller, and her with endless amounts of energy. this is basically sienna every day, so it was hard for me to picture anything less. the last few months sienna has become OBSESSED with disney movies, most of the time she is acting out one of the movies, and saying funny lines from them, so this has been a trip we have all been looking forward to.

my sick little sleeping beauty! she got out of her stroller looked around and found a bench to lay down on.

one of sienna's favorite movies right now is brother bear, so getting to eat breakfast with koda and kenai was a highlight! This was our first morning so she was feeling good.

waiting, waiting and more waiting!!!! she was surprisingly good about waiting her turn.
dumbo was too slow for her. she is a child after my own heart and likes the fast and fun rides. her favorite was big thunder mountain, she was hooked after 1 ride and we ended up riding it 3 times in a row. she also LOVED soaring over california, the NASTY spinning tea cups, and the swings. she did NOT like the matter horn, not because of the speed, but because of the monster.
love these 2 kids! no really i think casey is a bigger kid than sienna, he LOVES disneyland (like really loves disneyland) it really was so fun for me to watch these 2 have fun together.
casey with his favorite character
this was our second day and the only picture i even took at the park. she started feeling sick so we decided to go back and swim.

this little girl LOVES to swim, we went almost everyday in the summer, so for her to lay down and go to sleep we knew something had to be up. and then the hives started to appear accompanied by a 103 fever. this is when it would of been nice for me to of packed my bag that had the thermometer, benadryl, motrin, tylenol.

this picture cracks me up!! we had to give her a big dose of benadryl so she was acting so funny.

sienna was so upset she didn't get to meet the princesses. this was the highlight of our trip. she was so EXCITED when she saw them. i am doubting she even remembers this, because she was in a benadryl fog! thankfully we didn't have to wait long because she was done after this. we spent the rest of the trip in our room.

San Francisco

We just got back from San Francisco yesterday and I think this was y FAVORITE girls trip to date. We literally shopped until we dropped every day. Meaning 10 hours a day of AMAZING shopping. We ate at the yummiest restaurants (except for the horrible tie food that blistered Whit's mouth!!) At the end of the night we were all EXHAUSTED from all the walking, shopping, laughing, eating, and CRAZY bum encounters! I don't know what I would do without these two girls. They are my two best friends and I love spending time with them. Dad THANK YOU THANK YOU for not liking to shop and travel, Whitney and I have no problem traveling with mom! And mom THANK YOU THANK YOU for everything. We are so lucky to have a mom like you. And last but not least Thank you to our husbands, who have let us go on 2 girls trips this year, I guess it makes up for all of the hunting you boys do in the fall!

Every morning we rode the trolly down to get the most AMAZING sour dough french toast at Boudin.

Whit and I in our matching sweat shirts from our new favorite store Lulu Lemon. How have we lived this long without discovering these clothes???

Waiting for the Trolly

Ghirardelli hot fudge sundays.... need I say more!!!

One of the days my mom was in her conference Whit and I went and walked around Golden Gate park. Besides the INSANELY steep hills, it was so fun! This was the one day that was cool enough to walk around in sweats.

First Day of School

Sienna and I had our first day of school about a week ago. As a mom this has been a day that I have been looking forward to and dreading all at once!!! Anyone that knows me knows how hard it is for me to watch Sienna grow up and become independent. Sienna has had a hard time adjusting to school. And I blame this on myself, because I have left her 1 time her entire life with someone other than family. I am hoping that she starts to love it, and my mornings become a little easier!! As for me I am loving my new job. I never gave teachers credit for just how much they do. Even though this is a part time job, I feel like all I do is think about my class, and how to make it better. I work with the CUTEST little kids, and really am so LUCKY for this opportunity.

Ohhh how I love this little girl. Sienna decided what she was wearing on her first day of school, and there was no way I was going to change her mind. I of course had bought her a new outfit for the day, but little miss independent had other plans!!
